In September, Events by Emerson was honored to plan Elizabeth and Elijah’s Couples Wedding Shower. The venue was a beautiful historic B&B in Gainesville, the Denton Street Heritage House. The theme was burgundy, blush, and champagne, rustic with a sparkle! Elizabeth and Elijah, along with …
I can’t believe we’re almost to June! The year is just flying by! So far it’s been an amazing 2018 for Events by Emerson and I am so excited to share photos with you from Chels and Mitch’s October wedding in Rockwall, Texas. Stunning photography …
I was so excited when Mila’s parents contacted me about throwing a birthday party for their makeup-loving daughter! I loved every minute of creating a Sephora-inspired (her favorite store!) makeover party for Mila and her friends! Custom elements from start to finish, it was truly a one-of-a-kind party!
The party consisted of a decked-out (in theme of course!) dessert table with beverage station and a large table area for the girls with individual vanity areas! Each guest had their own mirror, manicure/pedicure kits, makeup palettes, custom coloring pages and more! And each girl got to take home their goodies in an authentic Sephora shopping bag of course! Custom party elements created by Events by Emerson for Mila include: party invitation, website & online RSVP system, multiple signs, and coloring pages.
Check out photos of the party below! And contact Events by Emerson for your next party!

A little over two weeks ago we were honored to help Chels & Mitch marry outdoors among the trees and in beautiful October weather! The threat of rain loomed all day, but cleared up in time for a beautifully sunny ceremony and perfectly cool reception! …

I wanted to stop in and share a few photos from the Jamie and Brad’s wedding this past weekend! It was a beautiful rustic wedding held at the Riverwood Barn and Amphitheater in Durant, Oklahoma. It’s a brand new venue in the Southern Oklahoma area, there have only been a few weddings held there so far and it is just beautiful! If you are looking for a rustic or barn venue, definitely check out Riverwood. I took quite a few photos on venue walkthrough’s so I’ll do a separate post on the venue! Back to Jamie & Brad, I assisted with the planning process, centerpieces, and flowers. The theme was rustic, and the colors were hot pink, purple, and blue. Here are a few photos I took that day. I’ll do another blog post when the professional photos arrive!
A combination of silk and fresh flowers for this wedding. All the guest table centerpieces and arrangements in the barn were made using silk flowers, which means they could be made weeks in advance. I love being able to do this, and it cuts down on the number of things that have to be done either the day before or the day of the wedding. Pop a plastic bag over the top (like a Wal-Mart sack) to protect the flowers from dust, and store them til you need them!
Fresh flowers were used for all ceremony flowers, including the bouquets, boutonnieres and wrist corsages, and altar and aisle arrangements. The flowers used in the bouquets were: white Carnations, blue Cornflowers, pink and purple Stock, and some Solidago, Queen Anne’s Lace, and Larkspur.
The bouquet transport box was made from an old box and several .97 vases from Wal-Mart. I outlined all the vases with pen on the box and then used a knife to cut the holes. This allows the bouquets to sit in water AND travel safely to the wedding venue.
