One of my favorite projects during the wedding planning process is finding and creating the perfect bridal party gifts. There are a million different options and Pinterest, as always, is a great source of inspiration. There are several things to consider when it comes to choosing the perfect gift. Your wedding colors give you a base element to start with, but what’s the decor theme? Rustic, vintage, glam, etc.? Incorporate your theme into choosing or creating the perfect gift for your girls. Being a MOH and bridesmaid can be a lot of work, so give them a gift that shows your appreciation for their support during this special time, and for their valued friendship.
I am especially fond of a bridal party gift that results in excellent photo ops, as well as gifts that can be used after the wedding is over. So definitely take into account your bridesmaid’s personalities and tastes, and what they would enjoy and get the most out of.
Robes are done often because they are a great gift and make for very cute photos! They can also be DIY’d. Find affordable (cheap) satin robes on eBay and Amazon, and then order bridesmaid, MOH, etc., iron-on appliques. These can also be found on eBay or Amazon, at Hobby Lobby and other craft stores, but I have had better luck finding bigger ones on Etsy. Search ‘bridesmaid rhinestone applique’. You can put these appliques on virtually anything. T-shirts, tank tops, bags, robes, etc. Get as creative and personalized as you want. Don’t want to do a robe? I love the lounge pants idea pictured above, mainly because I love lounge pants!
Don’t forget jewelry, these gifts can pull double duty and be worn in the wedding as well. Necklaces and bracelets can make great gifts that your MOH and BMs can enjoy long after the wedding is over. The same goes for personalized hangers which come in many different varieties, wood, metal, pearl, etc. There is also the tote bag, which you can personalize as well.
Another trend I love is the ‘bridesmaid survival kit’. These are great for the DIY bride and can be as simple or as extravagant as you like, so perfect for brides of all budgets. These can also be great for Bachelorette parties. They can even work for guys as well!
